Canterbury Cathedral

Canterbury Cathedral - the home of the Anglican communion

They missed the bit about each of us being equal in Christ. The sidesmen/women were pre-occupied when I arrived. Where should I sit I asked?
Ooh that's a problem said a rather fussy gentleman. I found another lady progressing at speed past me... and she pointed me towards some seats at the front! which they were obviously not expecting to use.

I confess I looked scruffy, as I was in hiking garb, and carrying a rucksack. Later I discovered that it may not have been my unkempt look that was the problem but rather they had lost a man dressed in a skirt, plus a couple of gentlemen in chains.

The Japanese Ambassador and at least one Mayor was found enabling the service to begin. Apart for an impossible reading from Isaiah 22, the liturgy was beuatifully put together, and the music provided by the summer school of the Royal School of Church Music was gorgeous.

The Ambassador was having his piccy taken, with ceremonial sword after the service...I wasn't invited so wandered off to see if Archie was in residence....but the sign which said Welcome to the Palace, also said Closed to the Public
