Event Description: | Hosted by Senga Lake and Elaine Emmons Today our life can be so busy trying to do things for God we forget to simply be with Him. This short retreat will help you to get away from drivenness. You will discover: * What is stopping? * Why do we need to stop? The purpose behind our activities, our identity. * How to Stop? Reflecting on ways to cease our activities and waiting on God. * Restart - discovering ways to refresh and be strengthened for the next part of our Life's journey. Senga Lake who graduated from Moorlands Bible College, is now an elder at Cranleigh Community Church in Bournemouth, former missionary to Congo for 15 years , experienced and keenly passionate about empowering and releasing people to fulfil their God-given potential. Elaine Emmons was a nurse and midwife by training. While holding a joint appointment as Director of Midwifery Education / Principal Lecturer, Elaine completed a BA degree in Psychology / Sociology / Philosophy and postgraduate studies in a Masters in Social Science and a PhD in Education. Elaine is currently the Courses Programme Manager at Chantmarle. The price for 2 night's accommodation with 3 meals per day and refreshments is £85 per person. Retreat starts on Friday 19 September with Dinner at 18.30 followed by the first session at 19.45. It ends with Sunday Lunch at 13.30.
